Steve Irwin will be awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles next week for his extraordinary contribution to the entertainment industry through his wildlife documentaries.
His star will be unveiled on April 26, and is the only posthumous star to be awarded in 2018 by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
Irwin’s wife Terri said her family were thrilled Steve’s work was being honoured.

“Steve’s Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is an incredible honour for our family,” she said.
“Steve would have been so chuffed. He was always such a proud Australian. We will celebrate Steve’s legacy and continue to protect wildlife and wild places.”
Terri and her children Bindi and Bob are expected to attend an unveiling ceremony of the star in Los Angeles on April 26.
