Stolen ute used in several break and enters north of the Gold Coast
ALEX HEINKE reports.
Police are investigating a series of break and enters that occurred in the Logan area in the early hours Tuesday morning.
Initial reports suggest that sometime on Monday night a white ute was stolen from the driveway from a residence in Parkinson, then used in a string of break and enters and robbery.
The vehicle was used to drive into the glass doors of a tattoo parlour in Hillcrest where a small sum of money was taken.
It then rammed a convenience store on Wharf Street, Logan Village and a second convenience store on Emerald Drive in Regents Park.
Then around 4.30am the crook approached a fast food outlet on Brisbane Street, Jimboomba and smashed the front doors with a sledge hammer.
The man entered the premises and attempted to remove the cash register but dropped it before exiting the premises. The man was seen leaving the area in a vehicle similar to the one pictured.
