A MAN is in hospital with serious head injuries after he was brutally bashed by two men armed with metal bars during the terrifying hold-up of a ceramics store in Sydney’s south-west
Police said two men armed with metal bars stormed the Lansvale store on the Hume Hughway just before 6.30pm on Friday and demanded money from the 51-year-old male owner.

After the owner refused to comply with their demands, the offenders savagely assaulted him before fleeing empty handed in a vehicle which was parked nearby.
The 51-year-old was rushed to Liverpool Hospital where he remains with serious head injuries.
Police are appealing for public assistance to identify the men who are both described as being of Asian appearance.
One of the men was wearing a black hooded jumper, light pants and a white baseball cap. The second man was wearing a brown jacket with a black t-shirt underneath and a white baseball cap.
