FURTHER showers and thunderstorms are forecast to hit the Gold Coast today.
The Bureau of Meteorology says the city could see up to 10mm of rain with a high 80 per cent chance of morning and afternoon showers.

Forecasters also warn of the chance of a thunderstorm, most likely from late this morning.
At 10am AEST, a cluster of severely warned storms were detected on weather radar about 10km south of the border.
They are moving north and may reach the Gold Coast in the next few hours.
At the time of writing, no severe thunderstorm warnings were current for southeast Queensland.
