The Bureau of Meteorology, Queensland has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for residents on the South East Coast and areas surrounding the Darling Downs this afternoon.
Damaging winds, heavy rain and hail are expected in parts of the state tonight including: Coastal regions in the South East, Central Highlands, Coalfields, Wide Bay, Burnett, Granite Belt and the Darling Downs.
For residents worried about damages to their home and contents, Emergency services recommends moving any loose furniture indoors, putting cars under cover, avoiding flood waters or fallen power lines and avoiding using smart devices.

The warning was issued by the Bureau on Saturday, 28 November 2015 just after 2pm and will release another update by 5pm EST. A storm radar can also be found on the BOM website.
