SAMANTHA STOSUR is continuing her late season charge, moving into the quarter finals of the Japan Open.
The Gold Coaster moved through with a win over fellow Australian Jarmila Gajdosova.
She won the first set in a tie-break before Gajdosova retired hurt in the second game of the second set to give Stosur her first ever win over her fellow Aussie.

She’ll now take on the 122nd-ranked Yulia Putintseva of Kazakhstan in her quarter final clash.
