The Gold Coast tennis ace has advanced to the third round of the Italian Open with another straight sets win.
Stosur took down Russia’s Elena Vesnina 6-2 6-3 overnight, backing up her upset win over Sabine Lisicki of Germany.

It’s a boost for the world No.20 heading into the second grand slam of the year, which begins at Roland Garros on Sunday May 25.
However, she will first have to conquer Australian Open champion Li Na in the third round of the lead-up tournament.
