Street fight ends with a king-hit in Southport

A BRAWL involving a large group of kids at Southport has reportedly ended with one person being king-hit.

Police were first called to the area near Gold Coast Tattoos on Nerang Street just before 4pm following reports of a fight between street kids and high school girls.

After arriving at the scene, the alleged aggressors had fled the area and staff at Gold Coast Tattoos reportedly pulled the girls to safety inside their store, according the local media reports.


The police helicopter was hovering overhead monitoring the situation. It’s understood there is no CCTV footage of the incident.

However, at around 5.30pm, police were again called to the same area after a man was allegedly king-hit at the taxi rank.

Police rushed to the scene though it’s understood both the offender and the victim fled before officers arrived.
