Sunken treasure chest will be dug up to celebrate Surfers Paradise Marriott’s 25th Birthday
This weekend will mark 25 years since the Surfers Paradise Marriott welcomed its very first guest.
Since opening its doors in 1992, the resort has welcomed 4,061,635 guests, made 2,137,703 beds, hosted 1,250 weddings and cooked up meals for an incredible 12.5 million people.
To celebrate the occasion, this Friday afternoon a sunken treasure chest, which was thrown into the resort’s lagoon pool 25 years ago, will be resurrected.
