Suns limp towards Shanghai fixture
The Gold Coast Suns will be lacking key personnel when they face Port Adelaide in China this weekend, with Sam Day the latest drop out.
Day has accepted a one-match ban for striking and will join co-captain Tom Lynch on the sidelines.
Lynch’s leadership partner Steve May could also be rubbed out, as he prepares to face the AFL Tribunal tonight.
The defender has to front the committee after making inappropriate contact with an umpire during their 69 point loss to Melbourne on Saturday.

Adding to the Suns’ worries is the 14-hour flight to get to Jiangwan Stadium and what’s waiting for them.
Port sit comfortably in eighth place on the AFL ladder notching up strong wins over Adelaide and North Melbourne.
