Suns’ Mitch Hallahan urges locals to join sleepout

The Gold Coast Suns are calling on Gold Coasters to join them for a sleepout on the Metricon stadium oval tomorrow night to raise funds and awareness for the city’s homeless youth.

Player Mitch Hallahan told 1029 Hot Tomato’s Flan and Emily Jade that Gold Coasters of any age can take part in the sleepout: “We’re trying to emulate what Gold Coast youth experience each night. Bring your swag, bring your family friends. It should be a good night, there is plenty of entertainment planned.”

He continued: “A few of the boys will be down here mingling with the crowd and opening their own eyes to what some of the homeless are facing day to day. It’s well worth coming down and sharing the experience with your family and friends.”

When jokingly asked by Emily Jade if he would be open to snuggle from a cold snoozer, Mitch replied: “I guess so, my swag will be open.”

So if you’re keen to snuggle up to an AFL star, and want to help raise fund for a good cause, head along the Suns Sleepout tomorrow.
