RELIEF for the injury-hit Gold Coast Suns, with scans showing no major damage to tall forward Sam Day following a head clash.
The swingman collided with Essendon’s Mark Baguley during the third quarter of last night AFL match at Metricon Stadium and had to be carried from the field on a stretcher.
The Suns took to Twitter today to confirm, scans have cleared Day of serious injury.

While Day was being treated in hospital, his teammates went on to record a two-point win over the Bombers 14.13 (97) to 14.11 (95).
