Super League player facing huge ban for bad behaviour towards Greg Bird

Former Titans captain Greg Bird is making headlines in the UK after a nasty collision during an English Super League match.

Now playing for Catalans Dragons, the ex-NRL star copped a knock to the head when he smashed into Leigh player Ben Reynolds.

He dropped to the grass and appeared injured when Leigh forward Jamie Acton grabbed him by the shirt and pushed him back to the ground.

Acton’s been charged with ‘other contrary behaviour’ by the Rugby Football League in an incident rated grade F – the highest of severity – and now faces a ban of at least eight matches.

It’s his fourth offence this season.

While Bird could also face punishment, after being charged with punching during another incident.
