Gold Coasters will tonight be able to see the biggest supermoon in almost 70 years.

The best place to see the supermoon rising will be at 5:49pm on one of the Gold Coast’s beaches or a high hill with unobstructed views to the east.
Meanwhile, the moon will be at its absolute closest point – and the best for photos – in the hour after midnight.
