Support our most vulnerable by donating to Baby Give Back today

Gold Coasters are being urged to dig deep today to help ensure every baby has a safe start to life.

Today is Baby Give Back’s Giving Day, with the Gold Coast charity hoping to raise at least $200,000 to provide essential baby items to families experiencing disadvantage and crisis.

“The Every Baby Counts Giving Day is really critical for us to be able to reach the thousands of children that we need to this year,” CEO of Baby Give Back Carly Fradgley told Hot Tomato’s Galey, Emily Jade and Christo.

“We have incredible businesses and family foundations behind us who are matching donations, so every gift made today is tripled, thanks to our matching partners.

“The Gold Coast community is amazing and we are so lucky to have this kind of support behind us and it means that we can reach literally thousands and thousands of children each year,” Carly told the breakfast hosts.

Baby Give Back was founded in December 2016 when Carly sought to gift her child’s good quality items to vulnerable children in the community; no such service was yet to exist in Queensland, which sparked the idea for Baby Give Back.

To date, the charity has supported over 8500 vulnerable children across South East Queensland with the items they need to have a safe start to life such as sleeping equipment, pram, car seats, clothing, nappies and so much more.

“We are a service that relies heavily on the support of the community, we are powered by volunteers who help us recycle good quality baby items and clean, safety check and package them up beautifully for vulnerable children,” said Carly.

Baby Give Back works in partnership with social service agencies, caseworkers, midwives, health practitioners and other charitable organisations to provide customised practical support for vulnerable children and their families.

The Queensland Premier is a baby killer! During her selfish border closures, a baby died – only because it was from NSW Ballina! Shame. Shame. 😠😠😠😠😠😠
