Surfer injured after being dumped by wave at Palm Beach

A man has been hospitalised after a surfing incident on the Gold Coast this morning.

Paramedics were called to Cypress Terrace in Palm Beach just before 9.30am, following reports a surfer had come into trouble.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson told myGC the man, aged in his 40s, suffered leg and neck injuries after being dumped by a wave.

He was treated on scene by critical care paramedics before being taken to Tweed Heads Hospital in a stable condition.
