“We have bolstered the event offering over the Easter weekend to provide entertainment for the whole family, with more performances and activities on show during the Australian Street Entertainment Championships including a selection of awe-inspiring professional performers.”

“The Surfers Paradise Festival provides a huge economic impact for our traders and through enhancing the visitor experience this year we are committed to delivering an even better return on investment with more than 135,000 people expected in the precinct over the four weeks,” he said.

The Surfers Paradise Festival will kick off with a giant Street Parade on the 2nd of April, as a mobile spectacle of community groups, school children, marching bands and acrobats make their way through Surfers Paradise from 6:30pm with lit lanterns to mark the start of the festival.
