Organised by the experts in Schoolies holidays for more than 26 years, schoolies.com, in partnership with Gold Coast entertainment king Billy Cross, the Schoolies Nation Festival is an all-ages, Schoolies Only event featuring Illy, Stafford Brothers, Bombs Away, Twins, Rave Radio, Some Blonde DJ and more.
Schoolies.com CEO Matt Lloyd said the Schoolies Nation Festival was already proving a big hit with southern Schoolies.
“Ticket sales are going exceptionally well and you only have to look at our Facebook page to see the support we are getting from the interstate students who at long last have their own event in week two,’’ Mr Lloyd said.
“Schoolies Nation finally offers a festival for interstate kids that ensures that 17 and 18 year olds can celebrate Schoolies on the Gold Coast in a safe, fun and memorable way.
Mr Lloyd said the Schoolies Nation Festival would have a huge positive impact on the number of interstate visitors in week two of Schoolies Week.
“Bookings have been traditionally quieter during week two with interstate Schoolies being left to entertain themselves due to the fact that State Government infrastructure only supports week one.
“The two-day Schoolies Nation Festival on Surfers Paradise beach will turn things around by providing a huge drawcard for southern students bringing potentially millions of dollars of extra economic benefit to the Gold Coast,’’ he said.
There have been some positive comments on Facebook too. Mia Matthews posted OMG we are getting this ticket!!!! Laura Marchesi wrote I want to go so badly! We should get tickets!! Petros Laloukiotis commented to Stephen Saric “Already booked my tickey bro…I am so pumped”.
