The display will also include an LED and intelligent lightshow in Orchid Avenue.
V8 Ute series competitor Wayne Wakefield will drive through the streets in a replica of the car he races on the track. He said he wanted to have a presence to boost interest in the sport that can act as a stepping stone to the V8 Supercars.
Last season Mr Wakefield had a win in Adelaide and ended up third overall in the competition and is keen to take out the championship this year.
Anyone who wants to watch the Parade can see it start on The Esplanade and continue through the streets to Surfers Paradise Beach, where there will be fireworks.
The Festival will run over four weekends.
