Suspected Gold Coast murder case has Police stumped
THE SEARCH for a missing Gold Coast mother will be ramped up today.
Linda Sidon was 46-years-old when last seen in June 2009.
Police believe she has been murdered and her son, Daniel, 28, was named as a person of interest in August when officers re-opened the cold case.
Today, South Eastern Police Regional Crime Coordinator Detective Superintendent Dave Hutchinson will update media and the public on how the case is progressing and call for anyone with information to come forward.
Ms Sidon was living in a housing commission unit in Ashmore at the time of her disappearance and worked part-time as a cleaner.
It’s believed she intended to visit family in New Zealand, however investigations revealed she did not leave the Gold Coast or Australia and her father prompted a search months later.
Bushland in the Gold Coast Hinterland was searched in August, but failed to find Ms Sidon’s body.
Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
