Suspended driver busted speeding, drink-driving in morning school zone

A suspended driver has been busted both drink-driving and speeding after being pulled over in a school zone in Goulburn.

About 8.45am on Thursday, officers detected a Holden Barina travelling at 64km/h in a school zone on Reynolds Street.

The driver, a 63-year-old man, was pulled over in another local school zone on Union Street and subjected to a roadside breath test which returned a positive result.

The man was arrested at taken to Goulburn Police Station where he returned an alleged breath analysis reading of 0.091.

He was charged mid range PCA, driving while suspended and exceeding the speed limit in a school zone.

Police say he is due to appear in Goulburn Local Court on 30 August.
