UPDATE @ 2.30PM | Police have given the all-clear at the Waste and Recycling Centre at Stapylton.
A suspicious device discovered in the landfill this morning forced the evacuation of the area.
The Bomb Squad was also called in from Brisbane.

Specialist Police declared the device safe around 1.30pm after finding it did not pose a risk.
EARLIER @10.30AM | The bomb squad has now been called in, after a suspicious device was found at the Waste and Recycling Centre in Stapylton this morning.
The device was discovered around 9.20am, with firies and police called in immediately.
They had the site evacuated by 9.30am, before calling in the specialist team from Brisbane.
They’re on their way to the scene now.
EARLIER @ 10.00am | Emergency services have been called out to a landfill site in Stapylton this morning, following reports a suspicious device was located.
It was found at the Stapylton Waste and Recycling Centre along Rossmanns Road around 9.20am, just near Quarry Road.
Police and fire fighters have been called to the scene, where they evacuated people from the area.
The centre was confirmed as evacuated by 9.35am, with people now blocked off from entering.
However, police could not confirm whether any roads have been closed off just yet.
At the time of writing, emergency services were still on scene, with the situation still unfolding.
Paramedics have not been called in.
