Investigations are underway after a large blaze broke out in Southport early this morning.
Early reports suggest the blaze began in a large bin behind a commercial building along Nerang Street around 2.30am.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, where the blaze was luckily brought under control quickly.

However two shops were damaged by the flames.
Police have since declared a crime scene, and are treating the fire as suspicious.
Anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around Davenport Street, Young Street or Regents Lane between 1.00am and 2.00am is being urged to contact police.
