Swim coach charged with ‘indecently dealing with a child’

A MIDDLE-AGED man has been arrested and charged with indecently treating a child during his time as a swimming coach in Brisbane.

The 55-year-old is alleged to have inappropriately touched a girl known to him during his time as a swimming and triathlon coast in Brisbane in the 1990s.

Following a protracted investigation, the man was arrested this week and charged with three counts of indecently dealing with a child under the age of 16.


Police said they believe the man use to work int he Clayfield, Virginia and Nudgee areas.

He is due to apepar in the Brisbane Magistrates Court next month.
