Swimmer hospitalised after being pulled from Gold Coast surf

A woman has luckily escaped serious injury after she was pulled from the beach on the Gold Coast today.

Lifeguards rushed to help the woman on Main Beach after she took on a bit of water around 1.00 pm.

Paramedics were called to the sand to assess her as well, before taking her to the hospital for further treatment.


She’s understood to be in a stable condition at the Robina Hospital this afternoon.

Queensland Ambulance couldn’t confirm an age for the woman, but say that the patient is not a child.

No other injuries were reported.
