Sydney cab driver charged after teen indecently assaulted while she slept

A Sydney cab driver has been charged after a young woman was indecently assaulted after falling asleep in his cab.

Police said that around 2.00am on Sunday 5 June, an 18-year-old woman got into a taxt at Manly and asked the driver to take her home before falling asleep.

During the trip, the cab driver allegedly indecently assaulted the woman who later reported the incident to police.


Following ongoing investigations, a 32-year-old man was arrested around 5.00pm yesterday.

He has been charged with assault with act of indecency and is due to appear in court on Wednesday 26 October.
