Sydney high schools in lock-down following terror threats

UPDATE: TWO high schools in Sydney’s southwest remain locked down, and are expected to do so until the end of the day, after terror threats were made via social media.

According to local media, East Hills Boys High School in Panania and Sir Joseph Banks High School in Revesby are both allowing people to leave, but not enter the schools.

The messages are under investigation.

EARLIER: TWO high schools in Sydney’s southwest have been placed into lock-down following alleged terror threats made via email.

According to local media, East Hills Boys High School in Panania and Sir Joseph Banks High School in Revesby are in lockdown.

It is believed counter-terrorism officers are on their way to both schools.

Just last year, East Hills Boys High School was defaced with graffiti stating “ISIS r coming” and “ISIS beheads”.
