Sydney home invader caught with cut down firearm
A man’s been charged and investigations continue into a home invasion in Sydney’s west on Tuesday.
Police say about 4pm two men armed with a firearm and a knife broke into a house on Oldaker Street and demanded property from a 44-year-old woman.
Officers from Blacktown Local Area Command were alerted and after a short chase arrested one of the men and secured the firearm which is undergoing forensic analysis.
They’re still looking for the second man.
A 19-year-old man has been charged with a string of offences including aggravated break and enter and possessing a shortened firearm.
He’ll appear in Blacktown Court on Wednesday; investigations are continuing.
