Sydney residents find bloodied man at front door

A shock for Sydney residents who opened their front door to find a man covered in blood on Monday night.

A crime scene’s been set up in the south western suburb of Macquarie Fields after a man knocked on the front door of a Saywell Road address at about 10.30pm.  He was suffering serious injuries and losing a lot of blood.

Police found the injured 32-year-old man slumped in a chair on the front porch of the home.  They noticed he had stab wounds on his arm and leg, and appeared to have been assaulted with a blunt object.

The man was taken to Liverpool Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Officers commenced an investigation that led to a second crime scene at a home on Railway Parade, Macquarie Fields.

Inquiries are continuing.
