Sydney roadworker seriously injured after being hit on M1
A Sydney roadworker is in a serious condition after being hit by a car on the M1 Motorway this morning.
It’s understood the 28-year-old man was in the breakdown lane on the M1 at Berowra when he was struck by a ute around 3.00am.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to Royal North Shore Hospital with serious head injuries.
The driver of the ute, a 72-year-old man, was also taken to Royal North Shore for mandatory testing and to be treated for a minor head injury.
A crime scene has been established and officers from the Crash Investigation Unit are on scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
