Sydney teacher charged with sexual assault of two students
Police have charged a teacher with the alleged indecent assault of two of his students in Sydney’s west.
In August 2015, police from Penrith Child Abuse Squad began investigating allegations of indecent assault by a teacher against two of his students, a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl.
Following inquiries, police attended a residence in Mt Druitt and arrested the 43-year-old male teacher.
He was taken to Mt Druitt Police Station and charged with five counts of aggravated indecent assault and one count of aggravated act of indecency – child under 16 – person in authority.
He was granted bail to appear at Mt Druitt Local Court on 8 October 2015.
Police allege the incidents took place at the high school in the Mt Druitt area between February and July 2015.
