Sydney youth worker killed in Syria
A SYDNEY youth worker has been killed in Syria.
Shareef Alnimer, from Campbelltown, is believed to have been working for a German charity called Helfen in Not, which translates to Helping in Need, when he was killed about 10 days ago.
A business colleague of the 27-year-old said he was only in Syria to do charity work and was definitely not fighting.
The Australian Federal Police has refused to comment on Mr Alnimer’s death.
