Syrian refugees foil terrorist attack in Germany
Two Syrian refugees in Germany have been hailed for their heroic efforts, after they captured a terrorist suspect.
Germany’s Bild newspaper reported the men tied up the suspect with electrical cords until the police arrived.
One of the men, named Mohamed, says they picked up 22-year-old Jaber Albakr in Leipzig on Sunday, after he contacted them on an online network for Syrian refugees.
Mohamed and his friend then noticed Albakr matched a police description for a wanted man, so they tied him up and contacted authorities.
The Bild reports they told him they couldn’t allow him to harm any Germans because they are grateful for the country for taking them in.
