Small businesses who have been impacted by COVID-19 are able to access free financial resilience webinars though TAFE Queensland.
The webinars cover an array of topics including how to manage cash flow, tips to navigate these unprecedented times, and tools to plan a response to COVID-19.
TAFE Queensland General Manager on the Gold Coast, Karen Dickinson said they wanted to give local business owners access to the information and tools they need to keep operating.

“Each of our webinars is tailored specifically to our region and delivered by local facilitators with knowledge of the Gold Coast market,” she said.
“By helping small businesses understand what government assistance they have access to and how to operate during these difficult times, we’re ensuring they have certainty and clarity about what they can do to mitigate the effects of this crisis.”
Style on Q Director Tammie Fowler said the webinars have been extremely valuable.
“I particularly found the cash flow webinar most helpful, as it taught us different aspects for reporting. I have since combined these new facets with our current methods and the data is providing us with a greater insight in these very unique and ever-changing circumstances,” she said.
Meanwhile Anthony Steinberg from Performance Realty Group said the webinars provided an opportunity to upskill and work on the business, rather than in it.
“The TAFE Queensland webinars have provided an opportunity while we are not trading at the same level to focus on working on the business and implementing processes that will assist with continued growth in the future,” he said.
Minister for Employment and Small Business Shannon Fentiman said the webinars give businesses the advice and support they need now more than ever during the pandemic.
“These free webinars are giving businesses who are doing it tough due to COVID-19 the tools they need to make it through the pandemic and come out stronger in the end,” Ms Fentiman said.
“We are continuing to support businesses through this crisis with these free webinars as well as other measures such as payroll tax relief, energy rebates, interest free loans and rent relief.”
The next webinar will be held on Friday 8 May. For more information about TAFE Queensland’s free financial resilience webinars or to apply, visit tafeqld.edu.au/isolearn.
