Tallebudgera Creek voted Australia’s best swimming spot!

TALLEBUDGERA Creek has been voted as Australia’s best swimming spot in the 2019 Wotif Uniquely Aussie Awards.

The online travel site conducted a poll over a three-week period to find Australia’s favourite local haunts, crowning a winner in six different categories – Best Roadside Pitstop, Main Street, Sausage Roll, Swimming Spot, Fish and Chips and Regional Chinese.

Tallebudgera Creek was crowned winner of the swimming spot while fellow local spot Currumbin Rock Pools came in second place.


The Gold Coast also featured as a finalist in a few of the other awards with local favourite Yatala Pies finishing second in the ‘Best Roadside Pit Stop’ category.

The victory was handed to The Famous Berry Donut Van in NSW.

It was a big year for Yatala Pies, they also finished third in the ‘Best Sausage Roll’ category.

The Gold Coast also had a couple of finalists in the Best Main Street category with Cavill Mall finishing as the third runner up and Burleigh Heads as seventh runner up.

Hasting Street in Noosa took out the top spot.
