Taxi driver accused of assaulting passenger in her home

A taxi driver has been handed strict bail after allegedly assaulting a teenage passenger in Lismore.

The 18-year-old alleged victim told Police she and a friend were picked up after a night out on Saturday May 28.

She was dropped off at her home on Keen Street.

Her friend was taken to the CBD.

The taxi driver is then accused of returning to the Keen Street and indecently assaulting the woman.

The 46-year-old man was charged during the week and granted strict conditional bail to appear at Lismore Local Court on 18 July 2016.
