A MALE teacher has been charged with child exploitation offences after officers located a phone containing disturbing images in the classroom of a west Australian school.
The 30-year-old teacher was arrested on Friday and charged with six offences including two counts of indecently recording a child under 13, two counts of indecently recording a child over 16, possession of child exploitation material and the installation of surveillance cameras.
He is due to appear in the Esperance Magistrates Court today.

ABC news reports that the Education Department said parents of local schools would be given more information later today as it is believed the offences took place at more than one school.
