A young man has been seriously injured after allegedly falling from a train east of Charters Towers.
The 18-year-old was found lying in a rail corridor at Sellheim, approximately one kilometre west of the level crossing at School Street, around 3.00pm Monday.
Police say initial investigations suggest the man, who was not a crew member or a passenger, was not supposed to be on the freight train which was travelling from Townsville to Charters Towers.
