Teen boy charged over dramatic police chase in stolen vehicle

A 17-year-old man has been charged following a dramatic police chase in a stolen vehicle in Loganholme last night.

Around 8.55pm, police attempted to intercept a stolen vehicle on the M1 at exit 35, however it failed to stop.

POLAIR tracked the car to Ormeau and then back through Loganholme where two stingers were deployed, the second successfully.


The vehicle was then abandoned on the motorway in Loganholme and the driver left the scene on foot.

POLAIR continued to track the man who was arrested in Constellation Drive.

A 17-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court today charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, failing to stop a motor vehicle, driving a motor vehicle without a driver’s licence, and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
