Teen boy dies, girl injured after horror Logan trail bike crash

A teenage boy has died after suffering serious head injuries in a horror trail bike crash at Kingston yesterday.

Police said the boy was riding the bike with a 16-year-old girl pillion passenger along Eridani Avenue, when they lost control and left the roadway around 5.10pm.

They then collided with a wooden power pole at the intersection with Sirius Street.

The 17-year-old boy sustained significant head injuries was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.

Police confirmed in a statement a short time ago that sadly, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away in hospital.

The teenage girl remains in a stable condition in hospital with serious leg injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating, with police appealing for any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to contact them.
