Teen boy killed, another critically injured following horror crash in NSW
A young boy has been killed and another airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a horror single-vehicle crash in Central West NSW.
The accident happened on Wollar Road in Munghorn, about 35 kilometres north-east of Mudgee, at around midnight on Friday.
Police said an unlicensed 16-year-old boy lost control of a Ford Festiva at Munghorn Gap and flipped the vehicle onto its roof.
A 14-year-old boy who had been riding shotgun died at the scene.
The 16-year-old driver was critically injured.
He was rushed to Mudgee Airport where he was airlifted to Westmead Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A crime scene has been established and the Crash Investigation Unit will examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
