A teenage boy in a motorised wheelchair has died after he was hit by a tip truck at an intersection in Sydney’s north.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Peats Ferry Road and Bridge Road at Hornsby about 4.15pm on Tuesday, following reports a 16-year-old boy had been struck by a tip truck and trailer.
The boy died at the scene, while the truck driver, a 62-year-old man, escaped uninjured.

He was taken to Hornsby Hospital where he underwent mandatory blood and urine testing.
Officers, with the assistance of the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit, are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
