Teen boy stabbed during street fight in Wagga undergoes emergency surgery

A TEENAGER has undergone emergency surgery after being stabbed during a street fight in Wagga Wagga overnight.

Police say the 17-year-old boy was stabbed in the torso during a brawl that broke out between a number of young people on Mashall and Poulton Streets at Ashmont at around 2.30am.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being rushed to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital where he underwent surgery.


He remains in a serious condition.

Detectives are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
