Teen busted pushing trolley full of stolen alcohol down Melbourne street
A TEENAGER has been arrested after he was allegedly caught pushing a trolley full of stolen alcohol down a street in Melbourne’s east.
Police were called to reports of a burglary at a liquor store in Kilsyth just after 1.30am on Saturday.
They arrived to find a smashed window and bottles of alcohol outside the front of the Mt Dandenong Rd store.
While patrolling the area, officers spotted a 17-year-old boy pushing a trolley along Tennyson Avenue.
Officers approached the teen and soon realised the trolley was in fact full of bottles of alcohol.
The 17-year-old was arrested and fined for being being drunk in a public place.
He is also expected to be charged with burglary.
