A 17-year-old boy has been charged with a string of offences following a dramatic arrest in Southport overnight.
The teen was taken into custody by multiple officers just before 9.30pm, after they spotted a stolen Holden Commodore at the intersection of Wardoo Street and Nerang Street.
A Gold Coast police spokesperson told myGC that the vehicle had allegedly been taken from a location on the Gold Coast Highway in Mermaid Beach between 6pm last Thursday and 8am last Friday.

According to witnesses, the Commodore allegedly collided with another car just before the teen was arrested, however police could not confirm this.
In vision obtained by myGC, a swarm of police officers can be seen surrounding the teen before taking him into custody.
The 17-year-old has since been charged with one count of enter dwelling, one count of enter premise and commit indictable offence, one count of stealing and two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
He will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
