A teenage driver’s now been charged, two days after allegedly fleeing a crashed stolen car in Broadbeach.
Emergency services were recalled to Bermuda Street just after midday on Wednesday, following reports the teen was hit by a truck.
It was later confirmed that the 16-year-old had crashed a car, which is believed to have been stolen from Robina on Tuesday night.

He was hit by a truck which was understood to be carrying glass panels, which caused him to suffer head and arm injuries.
He was taken to hospital under police guard, where he’s been recovering over the last two days.
Police have this morning confirmed that they’ve laid charges against the teen from Burleigh Waters.
He’s facing one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, holder of a class C licence failed to comply with requirement, learner driver driving without L-plates.
He’s due to front children’s court today.
