Teen charged after man stabbed in Sydney’s east

A teenager has been charged after a man was allegedly stabbed in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

Two males aged 17 and 21 became involved in an altercation at a home on Meymott St in Randwick at around 9.50pm on Thursday night.

Police say the pair is known to each.


After the altercation the older man left the home but was followed by the teen.

Police allege another fight broke out outside a home on Howard St before the 21-year-old was stabbed several times.

He was rushed to St Vincent’s Hospital in a stable condition and is expected to undergo surgery today.

The 17-year-old was arrested a short time later and taken to Maroubra Police Station where he was charged with recklessly inflict grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Children’s Court today.

The teen was also treated for a cut to his hand.
