Teen charged after stabbing at NSW school

POLICE have charged a teen after an alleged stabbing at a school in northern New South Wales yesterday.

Police said the 16-year-old male was removed from the school in Nambucca Heads on Thursday morning following a fight with a 14-year-old.

He returned a short time later and was told to leave.

The boy allegedly refused and then stabbed a staff member in the arm with a knife .

He was arrested, and charged with common assault, reckless wounding and assault with intent to rob from an unrelated incident.

He is due to appear at a children’s court today.
