Teen charged with alleged murder of missing NSW woman

A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder following the disappearance of Allecha Suzette Boyd from Wagga Wagga.

Allecha was last seen in the township of Coolamon on the afternoon of Thursday 10 August 2017.

Police established Strike Force Amias to investigate the 27-year-old’s disappearance with officers suspecting she had met foul play.

Following ongoing investigations, strike force detectives arrested a 19-year-old man at a home on  Gurwood Street yesterday.

A crime scene warrant was executed on the property with a loaded shortened rifle seized by police.

The man was taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station where he was charged with murder, possess unauthorised prohibited firearm, possess ammunition without a permit, not keep prohibited firearm safe and breach of bail.

He was refused bail to appear at Wagga Wagga Local Court today.

Meanwhile, investigations are continuing with detectives working to locate Allecha’s body. Detectives are appealing for any person with information to assist them to call Crime Stoppers.
