A TEENAGE boy has been charged over a horror crash which claimed the life of his 18-year-old passenger in central west NSW.
It’s alleged a Toyota Hilux utility was reversing on a property on the Castlereagh Highway in Cudgegong when it rolled down an embankment on Saturday 7 April.
The front passenger was ejected from the vehicle, trapping him. Despite desperate attempts by paramedics, the 18-year-old man died at the scene.

The driver, a 17-year old boy, and two passengers, aged 17 and 18, managed to escape uninjured.
Following ongoing investigations into the fatal crash, police on Saturday issued the 17-year-old driver with a Future Court Attendance Notice for the offences of dangerous driving occasioning death – drive under influence and possess prohibit drug.
He is due to appear before a children’s court on Wednesday 17 October.
